It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlene Shurtz of Atkins, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on January 27, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William DeLong and Dorothy DeLong (O'Brine); her granddaughter Courtney Fisher; and her sisters, Linda Salsbery and Ann Hartford.
She is survived by: her former spouse Terry Shurtz; her close friend Tammy; her children, Mike Shurtz (Angie) of Vinton and Jennifer Fisher (Steve) of Atkins; her grandchildren, Dalton Shurtz (Kellsie Lane), Nathan, Aliyha and Ella Fisher; her nephew Jeff Salsbery (Tawnya); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jeffrey (Megan) and Jayson Salsbery; her niece Crystal Salsbery; and her great-niece Cindy Franck.
