It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Loretta L. Spilger of Atalissa, Iowa, who passed away on January 13, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, August Volkman and Opal Mae Volkman (Pirtle); her husband Leland Spilger; and her son David. She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Spilger (Melissa) of Atalissa and Timothy Spilger of Atalissa; her grandchildren, Christopher, Lydia, Jennifer and Katheryn; and her brothers, Bill Volkman and Don Volkman. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Atalissa Fire Department or Iowa City Hospice in honor of Loretta.
