She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schroeder and Rose Schroeder; her husband Richard Swanson; her daughter Wanda Andreasen; her parents-in-law, Herb and Irene Swanson; her brothers, Laverne and Donald Schroeder; her sister-in-law Katherine Schroeder; and her daughter-in-law Julie Swanson.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Swanson (Virginia) of Glenwood, IA, Becky Jepsen (Roger) of Dunlap, IA, Steve Swanson (Carol) of Manilla, IA, Dale Swanson of Manning, IA, Dan Swanson of Manilla, IA, Rod Swanson of Murphy, TX, Duane, Arnold Swanson (Lisa) of Council Bluffs, IA, Gerald Swanson (Brenda) of Manilla, IA and Angie Swanson of Creston, IA. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
