He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hatting and Marie Hatting (Stallman); his wife Delores Hatting; his son Tony Hatting; his parents-in-law, Charles and June King; his brother Ambrose Hatting; and his siblings-in-law, Dale Hassebroek, David King, Marvin Thornburg, Darla McKernan-Schweigert and Dorothy King.
He is survived by: his brother Elmer; his children, Walter Trimble of Othello, Terry Hatting (Dawn) of Hull, IA. and Tanya Fuoss (Phillip) of Spencer, IA.; his daughter-in-law Cindy Hatting of Glidden, IA.; his grandchildren, Dylan, Evan Hatting, Gabby Stewart (Matt), Frannie Barron, Whitnee and Brandon Statema; his stepgrandchildren, Michael, Cody, Tasha Sellman and Marcus Brockman; his great grandchildren, Nikki and Olivia Stewart; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Brayden, Wyatt and Brooklyn Brockman; and his sisters, Alice Hassebroek of Spirit Lake and JoAnn Groth (Gary) of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
