It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley J. Stanley of Arthur, Iowa, born in Yorktown, Iowa, who passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Virgia Mae Demanett (Begnoche); her husband Richard Stanley; her son Michael Stanley; her father Arthur Demanett; her siblings, Marlene Lewellen, Geraldine Scott, Arthur "Dow" and Larry Demanett; and her nieces and nephews, Angela Demanett, Penny Lewellen, Chris Scott and Tim Demanett.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Stanley of Shenandoah and Corey Stanley (Tammy) of Clarinda; her grandchildren, Drew Stanley of Ft. Collins, CO, Bailey Vial (Andy) of Red Oak, Hannah Stanley of Red Oak, Cooper Stanley of Clarinda, Laura Hartman of Coin, Brittany Smith (Kyle) of Amazonia, MO and Oren Keller of Clarinda; her great grandchildren, Oliver Stanley of Ft. Collins, CO and Abe Vial of Red Oak; and her brothers, Cleo Demanett (Diane) of Reno, NV and Raymond Demanett (Jeanette) of Shenandoah. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
