He was predeceased by: his father Art Ayers, Sr.; his sister Lori Jo; and his grandfathers, Ray Ayers (Eileen) and Ralph Nissen (Juanita). He is survived by: his mother Jolene Ayers (Nissen) of Estherville; his siblings, Kimberly Olson (Darin), Mark Ayers (Melissa) and Tina Alvarez (Constantino); his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Olson, Jacob Olson (Mackenzie), Emilee Olson (Logan Dalen), Erika Olson, Alyssa Lupkes (Camryn), Logan Ayers, Hallie Ayers, Brittany Alvarez, Anthony Alvarez and Selena Alvarez; and his great-nephews, Grayson Lupkes and Elijah Lockhart.
