He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Johnston and Mary Johnston (Sackett); his wife Jeanette; and his brothers, Wayne and Bobby Lee.
He is survived by: his children, Mark (Karol) and Lisa (Todd). He is also survived by one brother, two sisters, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be given to Lakes Regional Hospice in Spirit Lake.
