He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie May (Verbrugge) and Joseph F. Laffey; his wife Dixie Lee Laffey (Hansen); his brothers, Warren (Ruth), Duane (Dorothy), Donald (Dolores), James, Raymond and Jerry Laffey (Marilyn); and his grandson Robert Schlauch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ramona Schlauch (Gene) of Reno, Rhonda Laffey (Jeff Duarte) of Clarksburg and Roxanna Tooker (Mike) of Sacramento; and his siblings-in-law, Rodney Hansen (Carolyn) of Armstrong and Jolene Johnson (Leroy) of Armstrong. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
