He is survived by: his wife Barbara Irmiter (Bishop); his children, Mike Irmiter (Jill) of Armstrong, John Irmiter (Kris) of Armstrong, Linda Lowe (Skip) of Grinnell and Mary Hanson (Kevin) of Ventura; his granddaughter Mara Beernink (Nick); his great grandchild Lucas Beernink of Rochester, MN; his grandchildren, Madison Irmiter of Minneapolis, MN, Tyler Irmiter of Los Angeles, CA and Jalissa DeJong (Austin); his great grandchild Everett DeJong; his grandchildren, Ryan Lowe (Sarah), Jacob Lowe of Grinnell, Juel Bulson (Brett) of Garner, IA and Jade Cerwinske (Anthony); his great grandchild Kylie of Forest City, IA; his granddaughter Jenna Erdman (Jon); his great grandchild Kason (Max Eaton) of Klemme, IA; his siblings, Richard Irmiter (Jane) of Swea City, IA, Larry Irmiter of France, Patricia Williams (Lee) of Cedar Falls, IA, Margie Stratemeyer of Sierra Vista, AZ and Kathy Irmiter of Waterloo, IA; and his brother-in-law Darrel Bishop (Sedell) of Ankeny, IA. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Nazareth Lutheran Church (401 5th St, Armstrong, IA 50514). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
