She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Charles and Gwen Rita Derr (Avery); her brother Richard Derr; her father-in-law Norbert Goedken; and her brothers-in-law, Dave Day and David Goedken.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Goedken of Arlington; her children, Natalie Perry (Kevin) of Bloomington, Illinois and David Goedken (Kristin) of Iowa City; her grandchildren, Landon Perry, Mila and Ellie Goedken; her siblings, Mary Ellen Day of Postville, Jenny Brandt (Troy) of Fort Dodge, Jim Derr (Beth) of Dyersville and Ed Derr (Sarah) of Springfield, Missouri; her mother-in-law Julita Goedken of Lamont; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Derr of Maynard, Cheryl Cottingham (Jeff) of Ellsworth and Charles Goedken (Jane) of Urbandale. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed in her name to Gundersen Palmer Hospice in West Union, Corpus Christi Catholic School in Bloomington, IL or the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Pulmonary Department in Iowa City.
