He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert James Blackford and Mary Jane Blackford (Heathcote); his siblings, Robert Blackford, Jr. and Susan Servin; and his partner Robin Kendall.
He is survived by: his children, Rachel Hall of Dubuque, Tony Blackford (Vicki) of Nevada, Justin Kendall of Cedar Rapids, Holley Robbins of Arlington and Robert Blackford of Arlington; and his sisters, Marilyn Blackford of Arlington and Carolyn Coleman (Rick) of Shellsburg. He is also survived by 8 nieces; and 3 nephews.
