It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Mae Thornton of Archer, Iowa, born in Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry L. Harms and Lillian M. Harms (Saupe); her husband LeRoy Matthew Thornton; her son Jim (Pam Thornton) of Archer; her siblings, Bonnie Linder (Paul) and Rod Harms; her daughter Rhonda Thornton of Spencer, Iowa; her grandchildren, Erica (Kevin Wilkinson) and Brent (Michelle Thornton); her great grandchildren, Madeline, Matthew Wilkinson, Nora and Anna Thornton; and her sister-in-law Margo Harms. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
