He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Aloylus Hoffmann and Rose Hoffmann (Niichel); his wife Ruth Ann Schlichte of Archer, Iowa; his siblings, Wilfred, Gerald, Viola and Bernice; his daughter Lori Darnell (Jeremy) of Boyden; his grandchildren, Mia, Ty and Jaycee; his great grandchildren, Nayomi and Harper Reiser; his stepgrandsons, Bryce Darnell (Rachel) of Rock Rapids and Sage Darnell; his siblings, Alice Stapenhorst of Sheldon, Patricia Steffes of Granville, Iowa, Marvin Hoffmann of Sheldon and James Hoffmann of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and also, Raven and Raya.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sanborn Funeral Home (401 Main St, Sanborn, IA 51248). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (310 10th St, Sheldon, IA 51201).
