He was predeceased by: his son John; his son-in-law Scott Forkenbrock; his grandson Eric Forkenbrock; his great grandchild Luke Forkenbrock; his parents-in-law, Bill and Rose Badding; his siblings, Rita Wuebker, Lorraine Gehling (Ed), Lois Hoffman (Alfred) and Clarence Berning (Sally); and his siblings-in-law, Bob Badding, Don Badding, Bill Badding, Joe Badding and Kathy Bedford.
He is survived by: his children, Beth, Jim, Sara and Jeffrey; his wife Mary Jo; his grandchildren, Beth (Forkenbrock) and Jesse Castellano; his great grandchildren, Julie and Mario Lopez; his children, Eric, Sophia, Chad, Gennie Forkenbrock, Payton, Connor, Matt, Dawn Forkenbrock, Silas, Audrina and Lisa Berning of Carroll; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Andrew Stenger of Norwalk, Justin, Monica Berning, Ryan, Cassie, Jake of Sleepy Eye, MN, Jeffrey and Jenna Berning; his great grandchildren, Nash and Lennon of Scottsdale, AZ; his parents-in-law, Merlin Wuebker of Milford, Rosie Diers (Lon) of Carroll, Joan Badding of Carroll, Mardy Badding of Carroll, Surge Badding of Carroll, Jan Badding and Elmer Bedford of Fort Dodge; and also, Ryan Heinrichs, Cassie Heinrichs, Jake Heinrichs, Julie Lopez, Chad Forkenbrock, Matthew Forkenbrock, Tiffany Stenger and Justin Berning. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews cousins and friends.
