He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Richardson and Donna Richardson (Torgerson); his nephew Zack Inglett; his siblings-in-law, Mike Inglett, Randy Lindquist, Tim Guerdet, Robert Schell and Cindy Schell; and his parents-in-law, Walter and Harmena Schell.

He is survived by: his wife Tammy Schell of Aplington; his son Dustin Schell of Aplington; his grandchildren, Ellah (Colton), Dalton and Natalee Schell; his siblings, Russell Richardson (Red) of Armstrong, Rance Richardson of Swea City, Iowa, Cosy Richardson Gray, Dee Guerdet of Atlantic, Cristy Lindquist of Fairmont, Minnesota and Kelly Richardson (Brad) of Sparks, Nevada; and his friend Jason "J. P.".
