She was predeceased by: her parents, George Abbas and Gertrude Abbas (DeVries); her husband John Anderson; her son Daryl; and her sisters, Josephine, Geraldine and Thelma.

She is survived by: her children, Rodney Anderson of San Antonio, Michael Anderson (Diane) of Van Horne, Derwin Anderson of Aplington and Shelly Hook (David) of Grundy Center, Iowa; her daughter-in-law Brenda Anderson (Mark Bessman) of Wellsburg, Iowa; her grandchildren, Gene Anderson (Allysen), Trisha Kajewski (Brian), Cassie Dufel (Brad), Miriam Anderson (Mike Breeden), Heather Anderson, Aaron Anderson, Travis Hook (Tess Ory) and Blake Hook (Haley); her great grandchildren, Lane, Justin Anderson, Boone, Alexa Kajewski, Harper Dufel, Armani Breeden, Ameria Anderson, Jameson and Gemma Hook; and her brother-in-law Duane Anderson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
