He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Louise Busching; his parents, John Christians, and Mattie Christians, Sr. (Rinnels); and his siblings, Simon, Eddie, Chris Christians, Christina Hoodjer, Nellie Hogenkamp and Helen Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Tammie Sheeley of Cedar Falls, Darin Christians (Sara) of Howards Grove and Heather Keseberg (Grant) of Waverly, Iowa; his grandchildren, Lexi, Lakin Sheeley, Mitchell, Alec Christians, Caitlyn, Brittney, Kwintyn and Kyler Keseberg; and his sister Mattie Schwab of Grundy Center. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
