He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Fayette Underwood and Lela Ella Underwood (Stone); his wife Bonnie Kaye Jamison; his siblings, Lila Koonce and Merland Underwood; and his siblings-in-law, Diana Collins, Darwin Viet and Charles Koonce.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene (JR) and Lisa; his grandchildren, Christopher Lewis, Rayne Nolte (Keith) of Austinville and Britta Driscoll (Justin) of Aplington; his great grandchildren, Emerick, Thatcher, Emmarie, Grady, Hollis, Baby, Jamieson, Jeremiah and Ireland Driscoll; and his siblings-in-law, Roseann Underwood of Cedar Falls, Karla Wessels of Tama and Jerry Collins of Independence.
