She was predeceased by: her mother Johanna Bodecker (Uhlenhopp); her siblings, Richard Bodecker, Betty Bodecker and Annie Diekman; her son-in-law Brian Eilderts; her stepchildren, Jerry Van Ellen and Roberta Van Ellen; her parents-in-law, Bennie and Ruby Van Ellen; and her brother-in-law Wayne Van Ellen.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Van Ellen of Aplington; her children, Sheryl Tjabring (Randy) of Aplington, Janette Eilderts (Mike Good) of Parkersburg, Diane Edler (Doug) of Cedar Falls, Terrill Buss (Jackie) of Newton, Donny Van Ellen (Kathy) of Kesley and Tammy Van Ellen of Aplington; her siblings, John Bodecker (Kathy) of Austinville, LeRoy Bodecker (Lora) of Hampton, Iowa and Mary Diekman (Elroy) of Parkersburg; and her siblings-in-law, Terry Van Ellen of Des Moines, Jules Diekman of Parkersburg and Martha Bodecker of Alexandria, Iowa. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren, with one more great grandchild.
