He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas "Nick" and Opal Sand (Luckel); his brother Ronald Sand; his wife Beulah Sand; and his parents-in-law, Carl and Opal Siefke.
He is survived by: his children, Deanna Adler (Phil) of Anthon, IA, Dennise Collins (Tim) of Medina, OH and Dennis Botcher (Jennifer) of Spencer, IA; and his siblings, Rollie Sand (Ann), Karen Heath (Ron) of Sioux City, IA, Sherrie Eickholt and Sheryl Wadsworth (Fidell) of Sioux City, IA.
