He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Romans and Doris Romans (Dodd); and his siblings, Jean and Jerry. He is survived by: his wife Alice Romans (Heggen); his children, Denise Garrett (Bob) and Scott Romans (Fran); his grandchildren, Megan Lopes (Morgan) and Jacob Garrett; and his great grandchildren, Avery and Rowan Lopes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Wesley Care Hospice or the American Heart Association.
