He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Mitchell and Inez Mitchell; his wife Phyllis Jones; and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his children, Sarah (Peter) of Oceanside, CA and Bill (Trudy) of Oceanside, CA; his grandchildren, Hilary Bettis (Kyle) of Cumming, IA, Anna Lane (Alex) of Denver, CO and Andrew Fagen of Oceanside, CA; his stepgrandchildren, Brad White (Amy) of Gig Harbor, WA and Amy Kuzniar (Brian) of Hinsdale, IL; and his sister-in-law Chris Mitchell of Knoxville, IA.. He is also survived by five great grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans organization, or flowers can be sent to the funeral home for the family.
