It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendell Jaye Harms of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Buffalo Center, Iowa, who passed away on September 13, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Harms and Lena Harms (Jurgens); his wife Lois; his stepchildren, Chris Kopacek of Austin, TX and Kimberly Kopacek Peute of Tucson, AZ; his siblings, Audrey Sonnenberg (Russell) of Forest City, IA and Forrest Harms (Mary) of Plymouth, MN; his nephews, Randy Harms (Lisa) and Allen Harms (Jyl); his son Zachary Harms (Kady) of Minneapolis, MN; his niece Lynn Pajunen (Roger); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lt. Cody Pajunen of Florida and Cole Pajunen of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Central Presbyterian Church, Calvin Community, Friends of Drake Arts, or On With Life.
