Though Sylvia Jane may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Wheeler and Reba Wheeler (Robinson); her husband Fred; and her siblings, Louise Tucker and Jimmy Wheeler.
She is survived by: her sisters, Ellen Sue Roberts and Jearldean Shinn. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, five great-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Church of God (4201 E Douglas Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Ankeny Memorial Gardens (4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God, 4201 E. Douglas, Des Moines, IA 50317.
