He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Meyer and Juanita Meyer; his father-in-law James Christie; and his siblings-in-law, Bill McNeill and Mary Kay Meyer.
He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Lynn Christie; his wife Sandi; his children, Brad Meyer (Kiri) of Ankeny, Tim Meyer (Mary) of Ankeny and Katie Meyer of Marion; his grandchildren, Samuel, Freya and Cecilia Meyer; his siblings, Gary Meyer, Cynthia McNeill and Carol Stamp; and his brother-in-law Bob Stamp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Steve may be made out to the family to go toward a memorial site in Okoboji or to the Puppy Jake Foundation (Service Dogs for Veterans).
