It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley A. Muehlenthaler (Ankeny, Iowa), who passed away on December 1, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Elsen and Lavina Elsen; her son Alan; her brother Ronald; and her husband John Muehlenthaler, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Olinger and David Muehlenthaler (Julie); her grandchildren, Michelle Olinger, Jace Muehlenthaler (Christine), Tyler Muehlenthaler, Nicholas Olinger, Cheyanne Azbill and Shelby Leggett (Whit); her great grandchildren, Adler Muehlenthaler, Raelyn Olinger and Gemma Muehlenthaler; and her brother Charles.
