It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Elizabeth Tourte (Ankeny, Iowa), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 34, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Sara Elizabeth may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

She was predeceased by: her father Ronald Tourte; her brother Joseph Richard Tourte; and her cousin Ashley Lebeck. She is survived by: her mother Libby Tourte (Blachford); and her grandparents, Jerry, Loretta Tourte, Rich and Kathleen Blachford. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ankeny First United Methodist Church (710 NE 36th St, Ankeny, IA 50021). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Ankeny First United Methodist Church - Christian Life Center (710 NE 36th St, Ankeny, IA 50021). A burial was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at the Ankeny Memorial Gardens (4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023).

In loving memory of Sara, memorial contributions may be given to Ankeny First United Methodist Church.
