It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russ Heinzerling (Ankeny, Iowa), who passed away on May 9, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Elmer Heinzerling; his father-in-law Harlan Peterson; and his brother-in-law Rod Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Pam Thompson; his children, Austin Heinzerling (Landry) and Marissa Phillips (Sawyer); his mother Barbara Heinzerling; his mother-in-law Linda Peterson; his siblings, Sue Quam (Jim), Vickie Heinzerling, Linda DeFord (Rick), Elaine Charlson (Dan) and John Heinzerling (Shannon); his brothers-in-law, Lance Thompson (Carol) and Howard Peterson (Carrie); and his nieces and nephews, Nathan Quam, Jennifer Martens (Mead), Rachel Bailey (Daryl), Alicia Adcock (Matt), Kayla Moon (Chris), Codi Thompson (Angel), Hunter DeFord, Hannah Heinzerling, Rebecca DeFord, Lily Thompson, Erica Heinzerling, Tyler Heinzerling and Halle Peterson.
