He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom and Jensina; his brother Harris; his sister-in-law Fran; and his great grandchild Leo.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lou Bothwell; his children, Paul (Ann Marie) of Ankeny, IA, Pam of Ankeny, IA, Phil and Dr. Phillip (Kelly) of Chanhassen, MN; his grandchildren, Zach (Sarah), Alex (Britne), Jensina, Colton, Nate and Sabrina; and his great grandchildren, Halle, Vale and Emerson.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be directed to The South Dakota State University Scholarship Foundation or the No Foot Too Small organization.
