With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Dale Schouten (Ankeny, Iowa), born in Baldwin, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Roger Dale has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Schouten and Agnes Schouten (Sittlow); his wife Joanne Johnson (Joni); and his brother Jim Schouten. He is survived by: his daughters, Tara Erredge (David) of Ankeny, Julie Schouten of Rochester and Krista Dohrmann of Kasson, Minnesota; and his siblings, Steve Schouten of Olivia, Minnesota and Janet Lundquist (Wayne) of Eagan, Minnesota.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Prairie Ridge Church (825 NW 36th St, Ankeny, IA 50023).
Memorials may be made to Prairie Ridge Church building fund for the future expansion.
