He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Schweers and William Schweers; and his sister Sherry Schweers Morse of Burlington. He is survived by: his sons, Rob (Maria) of Ankeny, IA and Eric (Elizabeth) of Belleville, MI.; his grandchildren, Nate Schweers (Lyndsay), Anna Schweers of Ankeny, Courtney Roach (Stephen) of Cincinnati, OH and Andy Schweers of Chicago; his great grandchildren, Georgia, Lennyn Schweers of Ankeny and Eliana Roach of Cincinnati; and his brother William Schweers of Ridgefield, WA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ankeny First United Methodist Church, Families Forward in Des Moines, or the Alzheimer's Association – Iowa Chapter.
