He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene A. and Mable M. (Trowbridge). He is survived by: his sons, David (Annette) of Waterloo, Duane (Diane) of Ankeny and Ralph (Deb) of Sugarland, Texas.; his grandchildren, Abbey Maxwell (Chad), Stephanie Zielinski (Grant), Adam Tolander (Veronica), Kristina Wellman (Trent), Austin Tolander (Anna), Preston Tolander and Jared Tolander; his stepgrandson Nick Strauss (Melissa); and his sisters, Martha Murphy of Las Vegas and Florence Cambridge of Kalona. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren.
