He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Schmidt of Altona, Illinois and Judith Schmidt (Smith); his brothers, Shane Schmidt (Kristy) of Galva, Illinois and Michael Schmidt (Laurie) of Galva, Illinois; his pets, Jaxson and Pippen; his sister Laura Payne; and his wife Emily Herbster.
