She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ament and Martha Ament; her husband Henry Volz; her brother Dick Ament; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Ament.

She is survived by: her children, William (Monica) of Suffolk, VA, Steve of St. Charles, MO, Martha Brendel (Bob) of Athens, GA, Nick (Joyce) of Elkhart and Teresa Blunk (Mark) of Ankeny; and her sister-in-law Betty Wines. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Holy Cross Catholic Church.
