He was predeceased by: his mother Suzanne Rutz. He is survived by: his father Norman H. Rutz of Overland Park, Kansas.; his wife Karen; his daughters, Erica Rutz (Andrew Ermel) of Council Bluffs and Lindsey Struyk (Chris) of Eagle Grove, Iowa; and his sister Lisa Riggs of Shawnee, Kansas.
