He is survived by: his wife Marcia Sutherland (Posusta); his children, Dawn Powers (Matt) of Davenport, IA, Abby Burger (Nic) of Urbandale, IA, Lisa Portel (Rick) of Johnston, IA and Jeff Sutherland of Texas; his grandchildren, Sean, Margaret, Amelia Powers of Davenport, IA, Austin Burger of Urbandale, IA, Cydney, Dylan, Mya Sutherland of Texas, Mike and Jessica Portel of Johnston, IA; his siblings, Craig Sutherland (Julie) of Nevada, IA, Chuck Sutherland (Susie) of Des Moines, IA and Sandi Ryan (Kent) of Ames, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Ogren and Paulette Hala (Harry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
