She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Ostrom and Rolla Smith; and her husband Marvin. She is survived by: her brother Warren Smith (Marvel) of DeWitt; and her children, Linda Freeborn (Francis) of Urbandale, Betty Grife (Russ) of Ankeny, Karen Boyd of Ankeny and Marvin Gass (Yolanda) of Georgetown, Texas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her name to The Poweshiek County Historical & Genealogical Society in Montezuma, Iowa.
