He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Lydon and Eleanor M. Lydon (Griffin); his sisters, Patsy Lehnhardt and Carol; and his grandson Nicholas Lydon.
He is survived by: his wife Molly; his children, DeAnn Figley of Ankeny and James Lydon (Melissa) of Ankeny; his stepsons, Andrew Pfaltzgraf of Ankeny and Matthew Pfaltzgraf of Atlanta, GA; and his grandchildren, Tyler Figley, Jacob Figley, Cailah Lydon, Sean Lydon, Quinten Harding and Benjamin Harding.
