It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin M Reese (Ankeny, Iowa), who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Melvin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Melvin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Reese and Grace Reese (Lehman); his wife Carolyn Johnson; his son Mike Reese; and his siblings, Don, Roy Reese and Neva Doty.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Reese and Deb Stott Wiley.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W 1st St, Ankeny, IA 50023).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Melvin.
