Mary Ann Rice Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ann Rice of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on October 26, 2024 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ann Rice to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Dexter and Gail Dexter. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Rice; her children, Kristi Tomlinson (Bill) of Ankeny, IA and Bill Rice (Holly Brunk) of Des Moines, IA; her grandchildren, Lindsey Good (Adam) of Ames, IA, Katie Jacobs (Jonathan) of Armonk, NY, Max Rice of Des Moines, IA and Jasper Rice (Philip Poeschl) of Duluth, MN; her great grandchildren, William, Thompson, Griffin Good, Daphne and Henry Jacobs; and her siblings, Peg Bray (Randy) and Gerry Dexter (Sharon). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the New Hope United Methodist Church (4525 Beaver Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to New Hope United Methodist Church.
