It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ann Gambrel (Ankeny, Iowa), born in Dougherty, Iowa, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard McClemons and Iris McClemons (Norman); and her brother Benny. She is survived by: her husband Benny Gambrel; and her children, Steve (Nancy) of Des Moines, Susan Smith (Chris) of Johnston, David (Melanie) of Des Moines and Joe of Colfax. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
