He is survived by: his wife Betty Lauer; his children, Julie DeLanoit (John) of Ankeny, Cheryl Dewey (Chris) of Wilmette, Brad Hastings (Terri) of Amarillo, Jodi Wandro (Mark) of Urbandale, Jill Westholm (Dan) of Urbandale and Carrie Mescher (Phil) of Ames, Iowa; his grandchildren, Amber Hastings (Stetson Wellborn), Brian Hastings, Reilly Hastings (Alex), Emily DeLanoit, Nolan DeLanoit, Nick Wandro (Monica), Will Wandro, Sarah Westholm, Nathan Westholm, Ryan Westholm, Taylor Mescher, Lindsey Mescher, Kaylee Mescher and Sam Dewey; and his sister Harriet Long of Ankeny, Iowa..
