He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his son David; and his siblings, Donald, Kenneth (Zelda), Arlene and Sarah Shumway (Karl).

He is survived by: his children, Diane Mills (Don), Daniel Brown (Mary Jo), Denise Nelsen (Mark) and Douglas Brown (Tricia); and his sister-in-law Mabel. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 17 (soon to be 18) great grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be given to the scholarship fund of Faith Baptist Theological Seminary, Ankeny, IA.
