He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Dwight Hulse and Rhea Elizabeth Hulse (Wood); his former wife Rosemary Elizabeth Cook; and his siblings, Gene Hulse and Harriet Hulse Murphy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Johansen (Lee), Sandra Johnson (Wayne) and Carrie Schaefer (Jake); his wife Easter Lilies; his grandchildren, Lucas Johansen (Lexie), Landon Johansen (Lindsay), Jessica Johnson (Mo Kaidi), Keagan Johnson (Kayla), Sawyer Schaefer, Spencer Schaefer, Sloane Schaefer and Sutton Schaefer; and his great grandchildren, Lillian, Levi, Lyra, Carter, Charlotte, Karson and Kameron.
Memorials may be made out to the Mingo United Methodist Church or Mill Pond Senior Living in Ankeny.
