He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Steffen and Norma Steffen (Gabel); his wife Julie; and his siblings, David, Tim, Linda and Marilyn Jean.
He is survived by: his close friend Julie Kjolhede; his son Michael Steffen (Tracy); his siblings-in-law, Ken Breiting, David Kjolhede and Phyllis Steffen; his niece Bree Howell (Bo); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lydia, Piper and Hudson. He is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
