It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Meling of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Gilman, Iowa, who passed away on August 2, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie B. Meling and Evelyn Meling (Hoverstein); his brother Jeffrey; his grandson Noah Heerkes; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Aria Weber.
He is survived by: his children, Corrine Meling, Holly Zobeck (John), Brad Meling, Mike Meling (Lisa), Stephanie Heerkes and Johnnie Meling (Jessica); his grandchildren, Beau Meling (Steph), Ryan Meling, Taylor Eivins (Garrett), Savannah Zobeck, Callie Zobeck, Grace Zobeck, Faith Zobeck, Levi Meling (McKenzie), Jonie Brewer (Lee), Raleyn Meling (Trevor), Bailey Weber, Marisa Meling, Savana Meling, Jordan Meling, Jordyn Meling and Josey Meling; and his great grandchildren, Arianna, Brooklyn, Cameron Meling, Jaden, Audreigh, Aspen Eivins, Grayson, Emerson, Bradlee Meling and Jace Heerkes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to either the Hope Ministries in Des Moines or to St Jude.
