Kathryn Karoyl Platts Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn Karoyl Platts of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on December 7, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Kozak (Stiles) and John Kozak; and her son Kyle. She is survived by: her husband Bob; her daughter Kristin Mauro (Steven Ricklefs) of Salem, Ore.; her pet Bella; and her sister Kasi Krehbiel of Bondurant. She is also survived by several cousins, several brothers in-laws and sisters-in laws; several nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the family of Kathryn Platts, and will be donated to a charity of their choosing.
