Joyce Flanders Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Simmer and Ethel Simmer (Buttler); her former husband Lloyd Nelson; her children, Rodney Nelson and Cindi Nelson; and her siblings, Dean, Gene (Curly), Denny, George (Mike), Bob, Michael and Connie.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Nelson (Barb), Skip Flanders and JoAnn Flanders Ellsberry; her grandchildren, Brenda Nelson, Brian Nelson (Angel), Rodney Nelson, Dilon Flanders, Samantha Riedingers (Erik), Dawn Lainson, Shelby Williams (Matthew) and Paige Ellsberry (Cameron Roth); her siblings, Jack, Larry Simmer and Sandra Lantz; and her sisters-in-law, Sue Simmer, Peggy Simmer and Kelly Simmer. She is also survived by many many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023).
