He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Vanderah and Esther Vanderah of Ankeny. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Parker (Ivan), Philip Vanderah (Nancy) and Steven Vanderah (Lori). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers or gifts you are asked to give a donation to an organization that helps those who are homeless.
