We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2023, at the age of 82, John Gnadke (Ankeny, Iowa), born in Good Thunder, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Gnadke and Esther Gnadke (Schneider); his wife Carol; and his brother-in-law Maynard Renkly. He is survived by: his children, Connie Brusegaard (Jon) of North Liberty, IA, Randy Gnadke (Heidi) of Centerville, MN and Melanie Haddon (André) of Pella, IA; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Brusegaard and Caroline Rankin of Maple Grove, MN; his children, Ben Brusegaard of North Liberty, IA, Grace Putnam (Joel) of Phoenix, AZ, David Brusegaard of North Liberty, IA, Reilly Gnadke (Olivia) of Ham Lake, MN, Alexa Gnadke of St. Paul, MN, Landon Gnadke, Carter Haddon, Tyler Haddon and Ryan Haddon; and his sister Anne Renkly of Arlington, SD. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
John worked until Covid prohibited gatherings and meetings of any sort.
The only place he could go after hospitalization was a specialized Alzheimer's care center.
